The Creatresse
I adopted the moniker Creatresse because of my passion for creativity. Growing up in Haiti, I learned how to create portraiture from an encyclopedia series in my parents small library collection. Since that day, learning and creativity has been forever linked.
When I attended the Rhode Island School of Design, I learned the value of collaboration. I learned that to be successful as a creative, you not only had to develop your skills as individuals, but it was as important to cultivate relationships and connections, share ideas and be open to critique.
Inspired by Chicago’s founder, Jean Baptiste Pointe du Sable, who shared the same Haitian origin as me, I felt called to move to this vibrant city on faith alone. Despite not knowing anyone in the city, I stayed open to forming new connections which lead me to start a career at Leo Burnett.
My insatiable desire to learn and collaborate has continued to lead me down many paths on my creative journey and has made me determined to gain mastery in all her forms of expression.

The Expression
Sculpting

My journey of discovering ceramic sculpture was serendipitous. In my work, I use African mythology to create new symbolism and a portal to our ancestral memory of traditions that are innate and indelible to the African Diasporic experience, inviting spiritual connections.
Perfumery

My motivation to incorporate scents in my creative practice is grounded in a desire to reflect the experiences of Black people through fragrance. I am deeply inspired by my Haitian Heritage. In 2024, I completed Perfumery Intensive course at Institute of Art and Olfaction.
Design

My education in graphic design has informed me to create digital and print campaigns carefully crafted with a special attention towards typography and visual exploration. I try to stay abreast of trends and cultural movements while also adding my own artistic flair to my designs.
Art Direction

I stumbled upon art direction while creating for a couple of school project where I thoroughly enjoyed the process of planning a shoot and crafting a story through the lens of photography and enlisting my friends to help capture my vision. Since then it’s been my favorite part of art direction.
